Consultation Open: Proposed Future Development Strategy for Tauranga City and the Western Bay of Plenty District
5 October 2018
Here's a great opportunity to have your say...

How will we manage housing, transport, employment, an ageing population, the environment, and other big issues in the Western Bay of Plenty over the next 30 years as we look to house an extra 66,000 people?

The aim is for sustainable and affordable living and by 2048. That'll mean we need 43,000 more homes and all the support that comes with this growth to meet the needs of an estimated population of 250,000.

The Proposed Future Development Strategy is open for consultation from 5 October to 5 November.

You can read the full proposed Strategy documents or summaries and access the submission form on the SmartGrowth website.
