Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan open for submissions
The Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan is now open for submissions.

This proposal sets out how pests in our region should be managed. Pests affect the whole region in a number of ways – they adversely affect environmental values, primary production and even our enjoyment of where we live.

The Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan includes 55 pests to be managed including plant, animal, marine and aquatic pests. The proposal sets outs what level of management is required and who is responsible for pest management.

For some pests, there will be rules that require action from landowners and occupiers. Some rules require immediate action while others might come into force on a ‘need for action’ basis.

During the submission period, Council staff are available to meet and discuss pest management issues you may have.
