New negotiations for a Digital Economy Partnership Agreement - call for submissions
On 17 May in Chile, Minister for Trade and Export Growth Hon David Parker - together with Ministers from Chile and Singapore - announced commencement of negotiations towards a Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA).
You can read Minister Parker’s press release here.

What is the agreement about?

The DEPA will look to establish new trade rules and best practice for the digital era.  These talks are an opportunity for New Zealand to help shape the international rules for the digital economy to ensure they make it easier for our businesses and consumers to take advantage of digital trade opportunities, while also reflecting the needs and concerns of New Zealanders.

You can find out more about these negotiations on the MFAT website at www.mfat.govt.nz/depa.
